Ross Myers 2010
 

    Ross Myers is in a life long pursuit of art.  Starting his professional career at age fifteen, he has demonstrated a natural talent in bringing life to a canvas.  His paintings are a reflection of his personal experiences. With oil as his medium and landscapes as his subject, Ross delivers to his viewers a feeling of passion and inspiration. 

     Native to Oklahoma, Ross Myers graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tulsa.  Having previously owned his own school for twenty-five years, he continues to teach in the private sector at Ziegler’s Art and Frame in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He also teaches at Montereau in Warren Woods and Inverness Village in Tulsa.   His calling to teach the fine arts spreads to Art in Adair, a teaching facility located in Adair, a small country town where he resides. 
     Myers is best known for his expansive landscapes of the southwestern United States and his native Oklahoma.  
In the fall of 2002, the state of Oklahoma commissioned Mr. Myers to paint a landscape of native Oklahoma.  The 8'x5' painting is named "Whitetail Deer in Choctaw County" and has made it's permanent home in the newly remodeled state capitol.  Ross Myers is an artist with a vision and a passion for natural beauty which is made clearly evident is his colorful and painterly landscapes.   Known nationally, Myers' paintings can be found in many private collections and corporate institutions.  Joseph Gierek Gallery in Tulsa represents his work.  The Toh-Atin Gallery in Durango, Colorado had a one man show for Ross Myers in July 2007 where he was the chosen and featured artist for the annual event, "Music in the Mountains", a classical music festival held in Durango and Pagosa Springs, Colorado.   www.toh-atin.com .
